Who Can Apply ?

• Current Students and Graduates.
• Gender: Male and Female.
• Age: 21-29.
• Education Background : Bachelors Degree in Agriculture, Specialization: Agronomy, Horticulture, Crop Production.
• Good English Skills.
• Driving skills – Added advantage.

• Expedia Africa has accessed Traineeships in Europe for students and graduates.
• The Traineeships in Europe are with High Tech Horticulture and Green House Farms.
• These traineeships in the Netherlands are organized by Bixter (www.Bixter.training), Expedia Africa is the sole
  agent for Bixter in the East and Central Africa region.

The Traineeship Partnership

• Expedia Africa and Bixter have partnered with Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS) to promote this traineeship program in Uganda. (http://ufaas-ugandacf.org).
• UFAAS is part of the African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (https://www.afaas-africa.org).
• It is a professional and practioners association for all engaged in Agricultural extension and advisory services at all levels of the agricultural or horticultural value chain • All agricultural Universities and Colleges are potential institutional members of UFAAS and are invited to join.
• All agricultural and horticultural professionals including students can join as members • Makerere University, Kyambogo University, Bukalasa Agricultural College are already members of UFAAS and many more are in the process of joining.
• Expedia Africa and Bixter have a Memorandum of Understanding with UFAAS to help Ugandan Agricultural Students access traineeships in Europe.
• Under this partnership, Expedia Africa is announcing trainneships in the Netherlands.

Netherlands Program Placements

• Horticulture.
• Green house.
• Duration : 12 months.
• Working hours -37 hours a week.
• Monthly Stipend – 1500 euros.

Application Procedure

• Application form ,Education Certificates and letters of recommendation.
• Interview by our partner agency in Netherlands.
• Signing of contract.
• Signing of Powers of Attorney.
• First installment of the program fee.
• Visa and residence permit application (Waiting period – 2 months).
• Visa Approval.
